Valley of the Dolls is widely recognized as one of the most intense and complex missions in Ready or Not. Set in the lavish hill residence of Amos Voll, SWAT teams are tasked with navigating a multi-story mansion filled with hostile security guards and intricate layouts. To achieve the coveted S-Rank rating, players must ensure that every soft objective is located and properly reported before exiting the area.
Understanding Soft Objectives in Valley of the Dolls
Soft objectives represent crucial pieces of secondary evidence that provide deeper context to the ongoing investigation. While fulfilling primary mission requirements allows you to complete the level, missing these hidden items will severely penalize your final operational score. Taking the time to methodically secure the entire estate ensures your tactical squad earns maximum points.
In the Voll Health House raid, players need to locate two specific soft objectives hidden across different floors of the property. These items are placed in subtle areas that require careful room clearing rather than rushing through combat encounters. Identifying their exact locations beforehand helps streamline your tactical route through the mansion.
Locating the Master Bedroom Video Tapes
The first soft objective involves finding illicit recorded media tucked away in the private quarters of the house. Upon securing the upper residential spaces, navigate toward the master bedroom suite. Inspect the room carefully to locate the prohibited video tapes placed near the furniture.
Once you approach the tapes, interact with them to report the evidence directly to TOC. Ensuring that the area is fully cleared of threats before standing still to report evidence prevents unexpected ambushes by remaining armed suspects. This step completes the first major hidden requirement of the level.
Finding the Hidden Basement Photo Lab
The second soft objective is situated deep within the lower levels of the Voll estate. To access this area, head past the outdoor pool area and locate the exterior stairwell leading down into the basement structure. Walk through the subterranean hallways until you discover a room illuminated by distinct red darkroom lighting.
Inside this photo development lab, you will find printed evidence laid out across the workstation tables. Interact with these images to send a final report to command control. Securing this room completes the secondary evidence requirements needed for the mission's comprehensive evaluation.
Tips for Securing an S-Rank Grade
Achieving a top score requires using non-lethal equipment like beanbag shotguns, pepper spray, and CS gas to restrain all suspects alive. Remember to also report Voll's office laptop and restrain Amos Voll himself to satisfy primary mission goals. Thoroughly checking every corner ensures no civilians or dropped weapons are left uncollected before concluding the deployment.
